I am a printed knit textile graduate from MSA currently based in Manchester.  I immerse myself in the vibrant world of 1960s pop art, drawing inspiration from its bold colours and graphic motifs along with a focus of negative space when layering shapes and colours. I have a passion for merging traditional styles with a contemporary flair creating timeless designs witha twist. Driven by a desire to push the boundaries of traditional textile design, I continue to explore new materials, combining different materials to produce tactile fabrics, blending the warmth of the knit with bold visuals. My goal is to evoke a sense of joy and curiosity, inviting others to immerse themselves in beautiful colours and textures. My recent work "Reimaging Art Nouveau'  has explored the origins of 1960s styles- inspired by Manchester Art Nouveau tiles and their colourful florals, I revised the traditonal style with my graphic, playful approach, producing a visually exciting  knitted collection of fabrics. I have also had a larger focus on sustainability, sourcing mostly deadstock and local yarns for my samples and keeping waste to a minimum.
